During the winter of 2007, we worked on a lynx project in Wyoming. Our primary duties included snow tracking lynx and recording data on habitat and prey densities. We would follow the tracks sometimes for days until a scat was found and could be used for DNA analysis. The cold could be intense, sometimes -10º F during the day while snowmobiling and some nights reached -40º F! Wyoming continues to impress us with it’s stunning landscapes and wildlife.
